The hacker swapped 1,000 ETH for 80 renBTC, after which he converted them into bitcoins.

In July, this address moved part of the stolen assets into more than 300 renBTC using the Ren Gateway bridge.

In total the wallet owner moved 607 BTC belonging to Cream Finance users.

In 2021, the DeFi protocol was hacked three times. In February, an unknown attacker exploited a vulnerability in Iron Bank (Cream Finance’s second version) and withdrew tokens worth $37.5 million.

In August, the project was attacked using an instant loan. The losses amounted to 462 079 976 AMP and 2804 ETH (more than $18 million).

On September 8, the hacker moved most of the stolen amount totaling 5152.6 ETH to the project’s multisig wallet.

In October, the protocol developers confirmed that they had managed to return 5152.6 ETH. The hacker was allowed to keep 10% of the stolen funds – about 515 ETH as a bounty for discovering the flaw.

In the same month, an unknown withdrew $130 million from Cream Finance. To do this, he used an instant loan as part of a complex transaction.
