Creator of Major Launches Zero-Commission Gift Marketplace on Telegram

The creator of the mini-application Major, known by the pseudonym Roxman, has launched a new marketplace called Portals for NFT gifts on Telegram. The platform operates on The Open Network (TON) blockchain and offers zero commission on all transactions until June 7, 2025, according to project representatives speaking to ForkLog.

According to Dune Analytics, the marketplace, launched on May 27, ranked second in daily trading volumes among platforms for Telegram gifts.

“Telegram gifts are a new trend in Web3. Daily trading volumes already regularly exceed those of OpenSea. The market is expanding beyond the CIS, actively attracting users from the US who purchase gifts worth tens of thousands of dollars. Our platform is only two days old, with plans for major updates, the launch of farming, and new features,” representatives of Portals told ForkLog.

As of May 30, the FDV of the Telegram gifts market exceeds $100 million, with the number of unique users reaching 166,000.

Previously, Roxman launched the social Play-to-Earn game Major, which attracted 70 million users. The project’s token, MAJOR, is traded on Bybit, OKX, Bitget, and other exchanges.

Telegram founder Pavel Durov praised the project, calling it “one of the favorite success stories in the Telegram ecosystem.”

In a show of support, Roxman transferred 1% of the MAJOR token issuance to Durov, who promised not to sell it for 10 years.

Back in late April, the founder of Telegram received one of the most expensive NFT gifts in the messenger’s ecosystem — Plush Pepe #1 from the Plush Pepes collection.
