Currency.com to suspend services for Russian users
The Belarus-based cryptocurrency exchange Currency.com will stop serving Russian clients.
One of them published a notice addressed to Russian users.
According to the message, from 12 April Russian residents will no longer be able to fund accounts, and from the 26th they will be unable to enter into new trades. It will be possible to close out leverage positions that were opened previously.
“That is correct; this letter was sent to clients who are residents of the Russian Federation. Unfortunately, we were compelled to resort to these measures. We are not blocking accounts immediately and now, but we are allowing the completion of all operations and withdrawal of funds,” — confirmed by the platform team.
Earlier, the State Duma considered creating Russian cryptocurrency exchanges to circumvent sanctions.
