Investors included renowned NFT collectors under the handles Metakovan and Twobadour.
The marketplace will run on Dapper Labs’ Flow blockchain, on which the firm hosts its popular NFT platform NBA Top Shot.
RCRDSHP (pronounced ‘record shop’ — a music shop) releases sets of collectible tokens that include a unique aspect of artists, labels or festivals in the world of electronic music.
The latest NFT drop by the platform featured portraits of artists and other themed images. The collection of 7,777 items sold out in under two minutes.
Earlier in September, weekly NFT trading volume fell by more than threefold below the record August figure of $1.05 billion.
