In March 2021, DC Comics refrained from selling non-fungible tokens. Adams, in an interview with Decrypt noted that in the comics industry the rights to original artworks remain with the artists who created them.
«Reproductions belong to publishers because they acquire the rights to copying. They do not buy the original artworks», emphasised Adams.
Earlier, former DC Comics artist José Delbo sold an NFT featuring Wonder Woman for $1.85 million.
