Decentraland to host MVFW 2023, its second virtual fashion week

From March 28 to 31, the Decentraland metaverse will host the second virtual fashion week — MVFW 2023. This was reported by WWD.

The event is organised in collaboration with NFT marketplace UNXD, as well as the first fashion week in 2022.

The main theme of Metaverse Fashion Week is ‘Legacy of the Future’. The show ‘will demonstrate the potential for interaction between open metaverses and push the boundaries of the concept of digital fashion’.

Participants include Adidas, DressX, The Fabricant, DKNY, Perry Ellis, Tommy Hilfiger, Dolce & Gabbana, Dundas and others. More than 30 participating companies have prepared exclusive virtual clothing collections in NFT form.

Metaverse Fashion Week will be divided into several zones. The main location will be a runway with the main shows of new collections. Organisers also promise a ‘creative hub’ to bring together emerging designers.

Earlier in the year, Playboy announced the launch of its own metaverse, MetaMansion, by the end of 2023.
