The project team recommended that all network participants install the client Dogecoin Core 1.14.6.
The developers noted that the update includes numerous security-oriented fixes, notably improving the reliability of the transaction loading system and optimizing memory management under high traffic.
The update also changes several default parameters related to network fees:
- fee per kilobyte of transaction set at 0.01 DOGE;
- dust limit (dust) — 0.01 DOGE (previously 1 DOGE);
- fees for operations like replace-by-fee — 0.001 DOGE.
According to the developers, these parameter changes are intended to reduce the network’s vulnerability to spam attacks.
Back in April 2022, Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus urged the creation of cross-chain bridge with Ethereum.
