Dogwifhat Meme Coin Approaches $1 Billion Market Capitalization

On March 1, the market capitalization of the meme coin dogwifhat (WIF) based on Solana reached $955 million, according to CoinGecko.

Without prior announcement, the online broker Robinhood added support for the coin.

At the time of writing, the price of WIF is $0.955, according to CoinGecko. Over the past week, the price has more than tripled, surpassing market leaders — Bitcoin (up 21.9% over the last week) and Ethereum (16.7%).

In early February, WIF rose nearly 30% after it was inadvertently “endorsed” by Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James. The athlete was photographed wearing a pink hat, which is a symbol of the token.
