According to the website, trading cards can be purchased for fiat or wrapped ETH at a price of $99. Non-fungible tokens are not redeemable until December 31, 2024, and buyers must complete mandatory KYC verification.
“On August 24, 2023, President Trump was officially arrested in Fulton County, Georgia. This is a historic moment—the first photograph of a United States president [in prison]. In it, Trump has a furrowed brow and a determined look indicating that he will never give up,” the project description states.
For enthusiasts, buy 47 or more NFTs in a single transaction to receive a physical mugshot copy with a patch of the suit he wore on the day of his arrest. They will also be invited to a dinner with the former president at the Mar-a-Lago hotel.
According to Trump, previous series of the collection were snapped up in a matter of hours.
Earlier, the analytics platform Arkham Intelligence linked a cryptocurrency wallet that receives proceeds from NFT sales to the former US president. According to them, the aggregate value of the coins at the address is estimated at between $1 million and $5 million.
Trump himself, in financial disclosures, reported owning between $250,000 and $500,000 in digital assets.
Earlier, the volume of trading of the former president’s trading cards surged 440% on the eve of charges being filed in court. The NFT collection generated more than $100,000 in royalties from secondary sales. The most expensive lot was purchased for 23.99 ETH ($42,990 at the time of the deal).
