The Italian motorcycle manufacturer Ducati will release a non-fungible tokens collection on the XRP Ledger from Ripple Labs.
The company’s first NFT is a video chronicle of Ducati’s logo evolution since 1946. Sign-ups for the waitlist open on July 26 on the project’s website.
The company first announced its entry into the crypto markets in 2022. At that time the manufacturer entered into a partnership with Web3Pro.
“Over the next few months we will develop in the digital space through issuing NFTs and pursuing other activities typical of the Web3-oriented direction, which are already relevant to the cryptocurrency community,” said Ducati representatives.
Further details about the project will be released later.
According to Ripple, between November 2022 and March 2023 the XRP Ledger network saw around 1.2 million NFTs created. At the time of writing, the daily trading volume of the most popular collection in the blockchain — XPUNKS — stands at $1,541.
In 2021, the automaker Audi released its own NFT collection.
Later, Bentley conducted a limited-edition Genesis Bentley NFT drop.
