Ebang to launch a Bitcoin exchange in the first quarter

One of the leading ASIC-miner manufacturers, the Chinese company Ebang, plans to begin public testing of its cryptocurrency exchange and officially launch it in the first quarter of 2021.

According to пресс-релизу, the firm has completed internal testing of the platform.

“Completing the internal testing of the cryptocurrency exchange is another step forward in expanding our business of providing financial blockchain services,” said Ebang’s Chairman and CEO Dun Hu.

The company will also continue to explore other business opportunities in the technology industry, such as building mining farms, added the head of Ebang.

Plans to expand the business by launching the cryptocurrency exchange and mining centers were announced on the eve of the company’s June 2020 IPO.

Following the Nasdaq IPO, the company raised $101 million. It issued 19.3 million shares at a price of $5.23.

Now the shares are valued at $6.25.

Earlier in August, Ebang registered a subsidiary in Singapore as part of preparations for launching the cryptocurrency exchange.
