Elon Musk backed the European Union’s Digital Services Act (DSA). The businessman said this in a video posted by EU Internal Market Commissioner Thierry Breton.

“I think this exactly aligns with Twitter’s future goals,” Musk said.
According to him, the initiatives in the DSA ‘will be useful for Europe’.
“I really think I agree with everything you said […]. We are on the same wavelength,” the billionaire added.
Musk’s vision for the future of the social network largely aligns with the bill. Earlier the businessman proposed open-sourcing the content-recommendation algorithms on Twitter. A similar requirement for transparency is also included in the bill.
However data-privacy experts say that such a step will not solve Twitter’s problems.
In April, the European Union reached an agreement to adopt a law aimed at increasing the responsibility of tech giants in matters of recommendation algorithms and targeted advertising.
In the same month, Twitter’s leadership decided to sell the social network to Elon Musk for $44 billion.
