American rapper Eminem purchased an NFT from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection #9055 for 123.45 ETH (over $450,000 at the time of writing).
Eminem also updated his Twitter profile picture to the purchased image.
The buyer was the account with the handle Shady_Holdings on the NFT marketplace OpenSea. Their wallet holds more than 40 tokens from various collections.
“I’m living in a simulation. Thank you, Eminem, for buying my ape and joining the club,” wrote the former NFT owner under the handle GeeGazza.

Earlier, the owner of the popular Miami nightclub and the E11EVEN Hotel and Residences condo complex — E11EVEN Partners — purchased an NFT from the Bored Ape Yacht Club collection for 99 ETH (about $396,000 at the time of the deal).
Earlier, the luxury NFT marketplace UNXD, together with the GameFi project Decentraland announced Metaverse Fashion Week in the metaverse.
