
EOS price falls in wake of Dan Larimer’s departure from Block.one
The EOS founder Daniel Larimer has left the post of chief technology officer of blockchain startup Block.one. He announced it in a post on он сообщил в публикации на voice.com.

The developer stressed that he no longer believes in delivering “freedom as a service”.

“I will focus on building tools that will allow people to defend their freedoms.”

The decision took effect on December 31, 2020.

Larimer developed the Delegated Proof-Of-Stake (DPoS) consensus algorithm and the Graphene technology. He was at the genesis of Steem, BitShares and EOS.

Users criticised Larimer for his habit of leaving his own projects after crowdsales.

In May last year, a class-action lawsuit was filed in the United States against Block.one and Dan Larimer. The plaintiffs accused the defendants of providing false information and conducting an unregistered sale of securities.

In July, Block.one launched the social network voice.com ahead of schedule — but early access was granted only to U.S. residents.
