Equipment worth 22 million rubles stolen from mining hotel in Chelyabinsk

In Chelyabinsk, unknown assailants twice attacked a mining hotel and took all the equipment. The report comes from the Telegram channel Ural Mash.

A 42-year-old entrepreneur ran a paid-for mining facility and hosted cryptocurrency-mining devices on his premises. Although the site was equipped with CCTV and an alarm, burglars gained entry.

During the first intrusion, they stole equipment valued at 2 million rubles. The owner reported to the police, but at the time authorities could not identify the perpetrators.

Shortly thereafter, the raiders returned, disabled the video cameras and stole the remaining equipment valued at 20 million rubles.

An investigation has been opened into the theft.

Earlier, it was reported that in Russia 15,000 ASIC miners were stolen under the guise of an offer from RusHydro.
