Expert identifies the main cryptocurrencies for investment in 2021

The safest strategy for investing in cryptocurrencies in 2021 will be to buy and hold a small portfolio of Bitcoin and Ethereum. This was stated in a comment to RIA Novosti by Chris Thomas, head of the digital assets department at Swissquote, the Swiss online bank.

According to him, these coins have long-term development potential.

“In addition, supply and demand for these assets should contribute to a significant increase in their value,” Thomas added.

Central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), developed by the central banks of several countries, will be the new form of digital money in 2021. One of the first countries to roll out a digital currency is likely to be China. In Europe, Sweden could be such a country, thanks to the high level of adoption of these assets, the expert believes.

Earlier, Messari analysts reported that in 2021 institutional investors will expand into Ethereum.
