Former Ukrainian MP Oleh Lyashko Turns to Ethereum Mining
Former member of Ukraine’s Verkhovna Rada and leader of the Radical Party, Oleh Lyashko, has shown interest in mining Ethereum. Local media, citing his fellow party members, report this.
He has dedicated programs on his phone; he tracks prices and trends very closely. Then, to everyone he can, he tells them about it,” a fellow party member said.
The politician’s interest in mining emerged after his defeat in the parliamentary elections. According to one of his fellow Radical Party members, Lyashko has already set up a crypto farm.
“Politics is my life. And business is just to feed the family. So yes, right now I am doing what brings money, including cryptocurrencies,” he said.
Lyashko himself said that he is pursuing business only to earn money.
Earlier ForkLog reported on the investment by Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoyskyi in a Georgian mining farm worth $50 million.
In late 2020, media revealed that in the premises of the CC Metals & Alloys steel plant in Kentucky, owned by Kolomoyskyi and his business partners, a data centre was opened, in which a third party is mining cryptocurrencies.
