Fox Sets Premiere Date for NFT Series ‘Krapopolis’

The Fox network announced the premiere date of the animated series ‘Krapopolis’ from Rick and Morty creator Dan Harmon, using blockchain technology for promotion — September 24, 2023.

The project was first announced in May 2021 amid a boom in NFT. The animated series will mark Fox’s entry into the segment. To that end, the network created the business unit Blockchain Creative Labs.

The plot of “Krapopolis” follows a family of humans, gods and monsters in mythical Ancient Greece as they strive to govern one of the world’s earliest cities.

In August 2022, the show’s creators launched the NFT collection Krapopolis Krap Chickens. According to OpenSea, at the time of writing its trading volume reached 513 ETH (about $968,000).

NFT royalties fell to a two-year low — nearly 1,000 ETH (~$190,000), according to Nansen.

\n\n

Earlier, a rare non-fungible token #3953 from the Bored Ape Yacht Club was sold for a record-low 200 ETH (~$372,000 at the time of the deal).
