Fraudsters exploited the buzz around Apple’s product reveal, organising a fake cryptocurrency giveaway. The report comes from U Today.

The live stream drew more than 165,000 viewers at its peak. The channel was later blocked.

Scammers often use YouTube to promote fake cryptocurrency giveaways. Apple co-founder Steve Wozniak joined a class-action lawsuit against YouTube and Google over the scammers’ actions, but the court ruled that the platform is not responsible for materials posted by third parties.
