The cryptocurrency exchange FTX has signed a partnership with payments provider AZA Finance (formerly BitPesa) to promote Web3 technologies on the African continent.

The companies will work jointly in several key areas:
- support for deposits and withdrawals in the fiat currencies of African countries;
- improvement of Web3 infrastructure;
- creating opportunities for education and networking;
- launching new trading pairs;
- attracting African NFT creators to the FTX platform.
In November, FTX supported the company Chipper Cash — in the Series C financing round, the African fintech unicorn привлек $150 млн.
As reported, FTX received a license in Dubai and plans to open a headquarters in the emirate.
