GameStop to become FTX US’s main retail partner in the United States

The GameStop chain of video game stores and the U.S. unit of the bitcoin exchange FTX announced a partnership. The agreement envisages e-commerce and online marketing initiatives using digital assets.

The collaboration also envisages distributing FTX gift cards through the GameStop network.

The financial terms of the partnership were not disclosed.

In March 2022, GameStop launched a test version of an NFT marketplace.

In May, the retailer of consoles and video games announced the launch of a non-custodial cryptocurrency wallet.

Earlier, FTX.US announced the purchase of Good Luck Games—the developer of the card game- strategy Storybook Brawl.

Upon completion of the deal, the Washington-based firm will be integrated into FTX Gaming. The exchange announced plans to launch a gaming division as part of its U.S. subsidiary in February.
