In the context of monthly dynamics, only 2011 saw a worse period.
On-chain activity remains in bear territory. The number of daily active addresses has fallen from more than 1 million in November to around 870 000 currently. This suggests only modest inflows of new users and a struggle to retain existing ones.
The same indicator applied to individual traders shows a similar trend. The metric (a smoothed seven-day moving average) sits in the lower part of the channel of restricted activity typical of bear markets (highlighted in red).
Outflows of Bitcoin from centralized exchanges drained reserves to levels last seen in July 2018. In June, monthly outflows reached 150 000 BTC (5-6% of the total supply), contrasting with the twice-smaller inflow earlier, which arose from the коллапса Terra.
