Block.one said that Google Cloud has become a candidate to act as a block producer for EOS.

“Welcome Google Cloud to the EOS community!”
Block.one’s site says that Google Cloud is taking steps to become a key element of the EOS network.
“Attracting Google Cloud–level block producer candidates is a significant milestone for the network,” said representatives of the company.
Block.one stressed that the final decision will be made by token holders.
In the wake of the news, EOS rose more than 14%.
In July, Block.one launched the Voice social network based on the EOSIO protocol.
