The strategic alliance aims to accelerate the adoption of Polygon’s core protocols into enterprise infrastructure and tooling, and to increase throughput for use cases in gaming, supply chains and DeFi.
“Google Cloud’s infrastructure will help scale the technology faster so that transactions stay fast and fees stay low as demand grows,” said Brendan Farmer, cofounder of Polygon Labs, in an interview with The Block.
According to him, the integration will also simplify and accelerate the deployment of Polygon Supernets.
Support is also planned for zkEVM, a scaling solution for Ethereum based on zero-knowledge proofs.
Polygon developers are convinced that the interaction with Google Cloud’s Blockchain Node Engine will simplify creating, launching and growing decentralized applications. In addition, the tech giant’s startup development program should contribute to a new wave of Web3 innovations.

Blockchain Node Engine has supported Ethereum since last autumn. Work is underway to integrate Solana.
Earlier, Google Cloud and the Celo Foundation agreed on a collaboration to support Web3 startups.
