
Grumpy Cat meme token creator hit with copyright infringement notice
Glauber Contessoto, the creator of a Grumpy Cat meme-based token, received an NFT copyright-infringement notice.

The letter states that Grumpy Cat Limited, owner of the ‘Grumpy Cat’ trademark, did not authorize or consent to the use of the images for promoting the digital asset.

Later, Contessoto tweeted that all legal issues had been resolved. According to him, the domain and hosting name were changed, and the meme token uses \”original images\”.

Following this, the official Grumpy Cat account issued a denial of his statement. The copyright holder noted that none of the issues had been resolved, and the token still infringes intellectual property laws.
