
Gumi Cryptos Capital raises $110 million
The crypto-focused firm gumi Cryptos Capital (gCC) has raised $110 million to invest in early-stage startups, according to a press release.
The company announced the launch of a second fund, which will focus primarily on DeFi, metaverses, gaming, and DAO.
gCC plans to invest in each new project an amount ranging from $500,000 to $5 million, through both equity investments and token purchases.
The assets of Fund I, whose portfolio includes 36 companies, rose from $21 million to $516 million, according to gCC representatives. The firm invested in OpenSea at the seed funding stage, as well as in Celsius Network and the DeFi platform 1inch.
Earlier, Bessemer Venture Partners created a fund with assets of $250 million to invest in projects based on decentralized technologies.
