Gurinovich Addresses Connection with Hamster Kombat
The authors of the Telegram channel BRIEF claimed that the owner of the clicker game Hamster Kombat is Russian businessman Eduard Gurinovich. He described himself as a partner.
Media outlets discovered that on May 30, Gurinovich filed an application with Rospatent for the phrase “Hamster Kombat.” This occurred two weeks before an indirect revelation by The Bell and the Telegram channel “Zhaba i Gadyuka.”
On July 5, Rospatent decided to register the trademark.
Financial services under the Hamster Kombat brand are not declared, but there are “business intermediary services for matching potential private investors with entrepreneurs in need of financing.”
Gurinovich is the founder of the used car auction CarPrice and the lending service CarMoney. With the support of the Innopraktika fund, led by Ekaterina Tikhonova (allegedly Vladimir Putin’s daughter), the businessman developed a “Russian analogue of TikTok” called “Yamolodets” in 2020. In December of the same year, the project was sold to the Gazprom Media holding.
Gurinovich stated on his Telegram channel that he and his team have become the “exclusive partner of the Hamster Kombat game in Russia.”
“We acquired the rights to the trademark and will be responsible for working with the local community. The project team gave us the right to officially register the trademark ‘HAMSTER KOMBAT’ due to the growing wave of fraudsters worldwide,” he wrote.
Gurinovich’s team will also be responsible for advertising sales in the Russian region.
Earlier, on July 4, Telegram founder Pavel Durov supported the clicker game and announced the imminent release of the project’s token on the TON blockchain. Previously, the messenger was named among the investors of Hamster Kombat.
