Hackers breach DeFi platform Grim Finance and steal $30 million

The Grim Finance DeFi platform team said a hacking attack resulted in $30 million being stolen.

Hackers gained access to the Grim Finance wallet using a malicious token in the contract, employing a re-entrancy exploit. According to the project’s statement, all wallets are compromised and assets are currently at risk.

The developers halted deposits and urged users to withdraw their funds immediately.

The Grim Finance team also contacted Circle, DAI and AnySwap and provided the attacker’s address to block further illicit transfers.

Last week, attackers compromised 148 wallets of the NFT marketplace Vulcan Forged and stole tokens worth $100 million.
