Hackers hijack Uniswap founder Hayden Adams’s Twitter account

Malicious actors gained control of the Twitter account of Uniswap founder DEX Hayden Adams and left a link to a fraudulent site registered in Russia.

A suspicious post urged UniswapX users to check whether they were entitled to receive “gift tokens UNI,” by visiting a phishing page.

One of the commenters noted that the website was registered on the day of the hack in the Russian domain zone.

The post by the decentralized exchange’s developer was later removed. However, subsequent phishing posts appeared.

About nine hours later, Hayden Adams said access to the account had been restored.

Earlier, hackers attacked Circle’s chief strategy officer Dante Disparte’s Twitter account to promote a fake airdrop.

Earlier in December 2022, unknown hacked the Twitter account of Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary to promote a Bitcoin giveaway scam.

Earlier in 2023, attackers gained control of Robinhood’s social media profile to promote the fraudulent RBH token on BNB Chain.

On 2 June, attackers hacked OpenAI’s CTO Mira Murati’s Twitter account to spread a fake coin airdrop.

In July, unknown hacked the Aptos blockchain’s Twitter account and posted links to the project’s fake site.
