Hamster Kombat’s Airdrop Sparks Community Outrage

The Hamster Kombat team has unveiled new rules for the planned airdrop on September 26, provoking discontent among active players.

According to the tweet, on the first day, users will be able to receive only 88.75% of the allocated HMSTR tokens. The remaining coins will be reserved for 10 months — approximately until July 2025.

In addition to the unexpected vesting, developers have significantly favored referral leaders and large holders of in-game keys in the token distribution. Ordinary users, considering the HMSTR price on the OKX pre-market ($0.008), will receive between $10 and $60 for six months of daily participation in the clicker.

According to internal statistics, out of 300 million players, only 131 million are eligible to receive tokens. About 2.3 million users have been excluded from the drop for cheating.

The hashtag #boycotthamsterkombat has trended on X, with over 22,000 tweets at the time of writing.

“I played for four months, collected over 200 keys, earned 8.36 million every hour, and followed the card times with an alarm. Now you’re telling me I don’t deserve anything. Hamster are cheats,” writes one outraged user.

It is expected that during the airdrop, developers will distribute 60 billion out of 100 billion HMSTR tokens. Another 15 billion will be reserved for the second season of the game.

Cryptocurrency exchanges Binance, OKX, and Bybit have announced the listing of the meme token HMSTR.

Earlier, the Hamster Kombat team announced the completion of the first stage and the beginning of an interim phase, during which players can earn diamonds.
