Judge Edgardo Ramos of the Southern District of New York set to hold the next status conference for March 26, 2021.
U.S. authorities have amassed a vast trove of material, including more than 150 000 pages of emails, data from seven seized devices and two hard drives, and continued to disclose new evidence in the case.
The lawyer cannot review them with his client — the prison is closed to visitors. He also cited the large volume of new information.
The prosecutors agreed that there were issues and asked the judge to pause the exchange of information between the parties.
Greenwood was arrested in 2018 in Thailand and is now in a federal prison in New York.
He is considered a co-founder of the OneCoin pyramid, whose damages are estimated at $4 billion. The whereabouts of the alleged main organizer, Rudji Ignatova, have been unknown since 2017.
Her brother Konstantin Ignatov was arrested in March 2019 at Los Angeles International Airport. He pled guilty to several counts and agreed to testify against his sister.
