The mining company HIVE Blockchain Technologies mined 282 BTC in March and boosted reserves to about 2,310 BTC.
During the month, the firm completed the deployment of a batch of ASIC miners BuzzMiners on Intel chips, numbering 5,600 units.
As of March 31, HIVE’s hashrate stood at 3.36 EH/s, including the GPU fleet.
During the month, the hashrate averaged 3.09 EH/s. Executive Chairman Frank Holmes noted that Bitcoin mining difficulty in March rose by about 9%, to 46.84 TH. The company increased its computing power by 12% over the period.
According to HIVE’s President and CEO Aydin Kilic, GPU mining profitability was, on average, 16% higher than that of ASIC devices.
All bitcoins mined in March from the GPU hashrate were sold by the company to fund operating expenses.
In 2022, HIVE mined 3,146 BTC. The total production of the firm’s digital assets for the period, converted to Bitcoin, amounted to 4,752 BTC.
