In Abkhazia, nearly 7,000 mining devices were shut down in a week

The Abkhazian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported detecting 19 mining farms in a week. As a result, law enforcement shut down 6981 devices for cryptocurrency mining over the week, according to the сайте МВД.

The press service noted that agency staff conduct raids to identify miners on a daily basis.

Earlier in December, the authorities in Abkhazia banned mining until 1 June 2021. All mining farms must be shut down.

A temporary restriction on the import of goods destined for cryptocurrency mining activities has also been introduced in Abkhazia.
