Moscow law-enforcement officers detained two suspects in the theft of cryptocurrency mining equipment, reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

According to investigators, the suspects broke into a basement storage room where the devices were kept. They later posted an advertisement for the sale of the stolen equipment on social networks, but did not manage to sell it.

The total damage from the robbers’ actions amounted to 3 million rubles. The stolen devices were seized and returned to the rightful owner.

Law enforcement opened a criminal case for theft. The suspects face up to ten years’ imprisonment.
