Injective developers complete Polygon integration

The Injective blockchain team carried out the integration of the Polygon project, aimed at delivering "true DeFi composability".

The native tokens — INJ and MATIC — can now be used in both ecosystems. When moving assets between networks, the Wormhole bridge converts them into wrapped coins with nearly zero fees.

“The integration with the Polygon protocol brings Injective one step closer to realising the grand vision of seamless interoperability,” said representatives of the blockchain.

Users of the projects will gain access to new assets from different networks, DeFi protocols, liquidity pools, and a tightly interconnected ecosystem infrastructure.

According to Injective, the initiative is aimed at boosting liquidity and accessibility across blockchains. The development will also benefit the respective communities by providing a simpler transition between networks.

In addition to Polygon, Injective supports Ethereum and Cosmos. The second protocol was integrated in late March 2023.

Earlier in January, Injective Labs raised $150 million for the development of the project's ecosystem. The fund's launch was supported by Pantera Capital and Kraken Ventures.
