
Jack Dorsey announces ‘Mining Development Kit’ for Bitcoin mining developers
Jack Dorsey’s Block is developing a ‘Mining Development Kit’ (MDK).

In 2021, the former Twitter chief proposed creating a universal and eco-friendly open-source system for cryptocurrency mining.
According to him, MDK will include several tools for configuration: a hashing board, a controller, firmware, ancillary software, and documentation.
“Our goal is to provide developers with a toolkit that will help unleash creativity and bring innovations to mining hardware,” Block said in Block’s blog.
Dorsey did not specify when the project would launch. Developers were advised to ‘watch for updates’.
Earlier, Block joined with Tesla and Blockstream to build a Bitcoin mining data center. The project is valued at $12 million.
