Jack Dorsey hints at integrating the Lightning Network into BlueSky or Twitter

Jack Dorsey did not rule out integrating the second-layer solution Lightning Network (LN) into BlueSky or Twitter.

On June 11, Dorsey spoke positively about Sphinx Chat — an encryption protocol that allows users to communicate with one another on the Lightning Network. One of his followers asked to integrate LN into BlueSky or Twitter.

“Only a matter of time,” he replied.

In 2019, the founder of Twitter made a similar statement regarding integrating Lightning Network into Cash App.

In the same year Square Crypto, the cryptocurrency arm of payments company Square, offered a grant to an anonymous LN developer.

In 2020, Square Crypto announced the creation of a development toolkit to facilitate the integration of the Lightning Network protocol into wallets and the development of solutions based on it.
