
John McAfee found dead after extradition ruling to the United States
The Spanish Supreme Court authorised the extradition of 75-year-old entrepreneur John McAfee, who was in custody. A few hours later, he was found dead in his cell.
According to a report in the Spanish newspaper El Pais, John McAfee was found dead in a prison cell. He presumably committed suicide.
The Spanish Ministry of Justice confirmed McAfee’s death.
The Department of Justice has confirmed that the American tycoon John McAfee has been found dead in the cell he occupied in the Brians 2 Penitentiary Center. He was seventy-five years old.

Edward Snowden criticised the extradition decision.
“Europe should not extradite those accused of non-violent crimes to a country where the judiciary is so unfair and the prisons so harsh that the defendant would be better off dead than end up there.”
McAfee’s lawyer told Reuters that the entrepreneur hanged himself.
