JPMorgan to expand blockchain division headcount

The financial group JPMorgan opened 84 blockchain-related vacancies. Many of them are posted on LinkedIn, the social network for job hunting and business networking.

Positions relate to development, marketing and auditing in offices in the United States, India, the United Kingdom, India, Hong Kong, Mexico, Greece and Israel.

Many of them involve roles in Onyx division, which focuses on blockchain projects and on the JPM Coin stablecoin.

Other vacancies involve work on the Liink solution for cross-border payments. Earlier, it was integrated by the State Bank of India.

One of the vacancies requires a background in Proof-of-Stake and Ethereum, which will be required of the applicant for development of a roadmap and strategy for the digital architecture.

In July, bank analysts predicted that the move of the second-largest cryptocurrency by market capitalization to ETH2 would turn staking into an industry worth $40 billion a year.

In March, JPMorgan posted 56 blockchain vacancies, some of which were related to JPM Coin.

In July, Fidelity Investments’ digital assets unit announced plans to hire up to 100 employees. The company plans to broaden its focus to other digital assets, including Ethereum.
