Justin Sun reveals involvement in a research project at the Communist Party of China

Tron founder Justin Sun announced on Chinese social media a move from business to academia. He said he would participate in a research project at the Central Party School, which trains cadres for the Communist Party of China.

It is reported that Sun will become the deputy head of the project in the field of blockchain-based social governance. The project will also involve the People’s Bank of China, the Cyberspace Administration of China and a number of educational institutions.

Some took the Tron founder’s statement as a hint that he was moving from business to academia. However, Sun rejected the notion, stressing that ‘he has no intention of retiring’.

Last year the media published investigation into Justin Sun, in which his business methods were compared to the marketing strategy of a ‘brothel’.

BitTorrent protocol author Bram Cohen said that the Tron founder is ‘the exact kind of scoundrel described by the article’.
