Kazakhstan authorities seize 360 ASIC miners

The Department of the Agency for Financial Monitoring of Kazakhstan identified illegal mining farms and confiscated equipment.

Local media report that the equipment was housed in three containers in Shymkent. In total, authorities seized 360 ASIC miners.

The investigation continues.

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev ordered authorities to identify illegally operating miners. Authorities have already formed an interagency group, headed by the Tax Committee, to combat such miners and have begun disconnecting them.
