
Kraken to add Lightning Network support
Kraken, a popular bitcoin exchange, announced that it would support the second-layer protocol Lightning Network in 2021.

In the statement, the exchange said it would invest in a new engineering team to tackle questions around integrating the protocol.
Kraken expects deposits and withdrawals via the Lightning Network to be available to customers in the first half of 2021.

In November, Kraken allocated $150,000 to the first recipient of a grant from the non-profit Brink, created to support Bitcoin developers.
