Lawyer Gregorio Dalbon has requested a “red notice” from Interpol for Hayden Davis, CEO of Kelsier Ventures, who is linked to the launch of the Argentine meme token LIBRA. This was reported by local media Página 12 and Perfil.
Dalbon also approached prosecutor Eduardo Taiano and judge Maria Servini, who are investigating a possible connection between Argentine President Javier Milei and the “funny coin.”
The lawyer highlighted the “procedural risk” associated with Davis having access to large sums of money, which could enable him to either flee the US or go into hiding.
According to Dalbon, Davis played a central role in the creation and promotion of the cryptocurrency, increasing the likelihood of an attempt to evade justice.
Kelsier Ventures became the main beneficiary of the LIBRA launch. Wallets controlled by the firm earned over $100 million. Later, Davis revealed that he paid the sister of the Argentine president for her brother to promote the meme coin.
Back in February, local media speculated about the US Department of Justice launching an investigation into the roles of Milei, LIBRA founders Davis, Julian Peha of KIP Protocol, and two Argentine entrepreneurs Mauricio Novelli and Manuel Terrones Godoy in promoting the token.
The president himself claims that he did not advertise the token, but merely “shared” information. KIP Protocol also denied involvement in the project.
