The value of assets locked in the Lido liquid staking protocol has reached $30.56 billion, according to data from The Block.
This figure has exceeded the previous peak recorded on April 5, 2022, which stood at $20.83 billion. Approximately a month later, the Terra ecosystem collapsed.
Lido dominates the segment, controlling 32% of the total volume of staked ether.
The TVL of the second-ranked protocol, Rocket Pool, is $3.8 billion, while Binance’s platform holds $2.4 billion.
Meanwhile, the restaking sector continues to gain popularity. The leading project, EigenLayer, has already reached a locked value of $8.8 billion (DeFi Llama).
Experts have identified risks in the potential approval of spot Ethereum ETFs due to their possible impact on the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
