The darknet marketplace White House Market has halted support for Bitcoin and now accepts payments only in Monero (XMR).

The move was prompted by an ‘unexpected blocking of Tor access’. This was influenced by changes to the MorphToken exchange’s API, which the darknet marketplace relies on.
In August this year White House Market became one of the most active darknet marketplaces after Empire Market went offline.
In 2020, according to Bitfury, the total value in bitcoins earned by darknet actors rose from $1.3 billion to $1.6 billion.
