The TON blockchain platform team attracted an eight-figure investment from MEXC’s venture arm. The partners will work on lowering global barriers to entry into Web3, writes Cointelegraph.
As part of the deal, MEXC will focus on promoting popular blockchain-based projects. The firm also intends to launch a lending service on TON and waive trading fees for usingutility-tokens of the partner.
In addition to ongoing support for TON-based projects, the venture arm will continue financing network-related dapps such as Megaton Finance, TONPlay, Fanzee and Sonet.
The partners are discussing potential funding for a Telegram crypto wallet.
“The technology must be convenient and simple for anyone, regardless of their knowledge of the blockchain world. With TON in Telegram, Web3 becomes as easy as sending text messages,” said Justin Hen, Director of Growth at TON Foundation.
In September, TON Foundation announced the integration of the TON Space cryptocurrency wallet into Telegram.
Earlier, TON developers implemented the exchange of encrypted messages.
In February, the team presented a roadmap for 2023.
