
Miami mayor calls Bitcoin a stable investment in 2020
Miami mayor Francis Suarez drew attention from the community with his stance on the leading cryptocurrency. He called Bitcoin a stable investment in the current ‘unstable year’.

In his post, Suarez noted the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Gemini Tyler Winklevoss and Morgan Creek Digital co-founder Anthony Pompliano. The latter stated that Miami ‘on the path to becoming a Bitcoin city’.

Tyler Winklevoss promised to give Suarez a signed copy of the book “Bitcoin Billionaires”.

Also Suarez is exploring the possibility to reorient Miami’s administration toward the cryptocurrency industry. In his view, South Florida should be ‘at the forefront of legislation’ promoting digital assets and anchored in innovation.

Back in December, former congressman and US presidential candidate Ron Paul urged to grant Bitcoin legal status.
