MicroBT Unveils New Line of Bitcoin Miners

At the Bitcoin MENA 2024 conference in Abu Dhabi, MicroBT showcased its new series of bitcoin mining devices, the WhatsMiner M6хS++.

According to a press release, all three ASIC miners offer an energy consumption rate of 15.5 J/TH. The air-cooled M60S++ model boasts a hash rate of 226 TH/s.

The M63S++, designed for hydro-cooling, achieves a hash rate of 478 TH/s, while the M66S++, intended for immersion cooling systems, delivers up to 356 TH/s.

MicroBT’s lineup also includes three models with an energy efficiency of 17 J/TH. The air-cooled WhatsMiner M61S+ (236 TH/s) and the M64S+ (236 TH/s) and M65S+ (440 TH/s) models, which can reach a liquid outlet temperature of up to 80°C.

According to the company’s founder, Zhaoxin Yang, this high threshold expands the potential uses of the generated heat for purposes such as steam production, heating, or water desalination.

In 2022, MicroBT, in collaboration with American company Heat Core, implemented a pilot project to supply heat for industrial processes through mining.

In 2024, Hashlabs Mining utilized WhatsMiner M63S devices for residential heating in Finland.

Back in December 2023, the Abu Dhabi-based mining company Phoenix Group signed an agreement with MicroBT to purchase bitcoin miners worth over $380 million.
