
MicroStrategy buys 467 BTC for $14.4 million
The analytics software provider MicroStrategy has added another 467 BTC, according to founder Michael Saylor.

Last month the company purchased bitcoin for $14.4 million. As of July 31, MicroStrategy holds 152,800 BTC worth about $4.53 billion at $29,672 per BTC.
According to the Q2 2023 report, the company’s total revenue was $120.4 million (+1% year on year). Revenue from software licenses was $35.4 million (+4%), with subscriptions for services at $19.9 million (+42%).
In June, MicroStrategy disclosed investments in the first cryptocurrency for the second quarter — the firm acquired 12,333 BTC for $347 million. Prior to that, the company invested $150 million in Bitcoin in March.
As of writing, Bitcoin was trading around $29,600, according to CoinGecko.
In July, MicroStrategy’s chief revenue officer Kevin Adkisson resigned from the company after nearly seven years. He will stay with the firm as a consultant for an indefinite period.
