MicroStrategy to Develop Enterprise Solutions Based on the Lightning Network

MicroStrategy is pursuing several research and development projects based on L2 solution to scale the Bitcoin Lightning Network (LN), according to former CEO Michael Saylor. They include the development of a wallet, a server, and authentication options.

According to the executive, Lightning Network is the ‘most important development taking place in the world of technology’.

The initiative aims to grow LN’s user base by ‘100,000 users’ or ‘opening 10 million wallets’ each day.

Saylor explained that the project is at an early stage, and it’s too early to talk about its results.

‘In LN you can move much more aggressively in developing application functionality and taking risks compared with the baseline level of the first cryptocurrency’, — said the Bitcoin maximalist.

Earlier, in August, as Sailor stepped down from the CEO role, he promised to focus on ‘innovation and a long-term corporate strategy’ tied to digital gold.

In September, the former MicroStrategy CEO was accused of evading taxes on the sum of $25 million.

Earlier Sailor called the decision to invest in Bitcoin the right one.
